Devotion Through Sacred Sound

Sanskrit Sacred Sound Course St Leonards

Awakening to Love
Through Sanskrit

An Eight Week Devotional Journey Into Sacred Sound

Sacred sound has the power to open the heart and return us to the love that we are.

This devotional Sanskrit course in St Leonards-on-Sea near Hastings explores sacred sound, the Sanskrit alphabet (Varnamālā), Mātṛkā and the Mahēśvara Sūtras.

Sanskrit is more than a language. It is a living field of sacred sound.

In the Sanskrit tradition, sound is understood as an expression of the very movement of life itself — vibrations through which consciousness recognises and reveals itself.

This eight-week journey is an invitation to enter that field directly.

Together we will explore the Varnamālā, the sacred arrangement of the Sanskrit alphabet, learning to sound and write the letters while discovering the deeper principles that underlie them.

Through this exploration we will encounter the Mātṛkā, the divine mothers of sound, and the Mahēśvara Sūtras, the profound ordering of sound that reveals the inner structure of the Sanskrit language.

This is not an academic study of Sanskrit.
It is a devotional vibratory journey into sacred sound.

As we remember the sounds of Sanskrit and allow them to resonate within us, we allow them to open our hearts and reconnect us with a deeper sense of truth, love and peace that is already present within us.

The space will be held as a temple of sacred sound — a place of learning, listening, devotion and shared discovery.

No previous knowledge of Sanskrit is required, only a sincere openness to the sacred power of sound.
