Devotion Through Sacred Sound

St Leonards and Hastings Bhakti Community
Hastings & St Leonards Bhakti is a growing devotional community rooted in sacred sound.

We gather monthly for kirtan, foundational Sanskrit study, and shared food — creating a space where devotion becomes lived and relational.

At the heart of our gatherings is the understanding that bhakti is not something distant or external, but a return to the Divine within.

Through mantra and the living resonance of Sanskrit, we soften back into ourselves. Sound becomes a bridge — guiding us from the noise of the world into presence, into love, into remembrance.

This community is built on warmth, sincerity, and shared practice. We sing together. We learn together. We eat together. In doing so, we cultivate something simple and powerful: spiritual friendship rooted in devotion.

Bhakti through sound brings joy. It brings us home to the love that we are. And in a culture that often separates us from one another, gathering in shared sacred sound reminds us that we are not alone.

All are welcome who feel called to explore devotion through mantra, Sanskrit, and heartfelt community.

What To Expect
Our gatherings are simple, sincere, and heart-led.

We meet monthly in Hastings & St Leonards to share kirtan — devotional chanting rooted in sacred sound.
Some evenings include shared vegetarian food, offering time to connect, reflect, and build spiritual friendship.

Alongside kirtan, there are opportunities to explore foundational Sanskrit study — learning the sounds and letters as a living devotional practice.

You do not need to believe anything.
You do not need to perform.
You do not even need to sing.

You are welcome to participate fully, chant softly, or simply sit and receive. Bhakti begins wherever you are.
This is a space for remembering the Divine within — through sound, through presence, and through shared community.

Sacred Exchange

Our gatherings are offered through sacred exchange. A contribution supports the continuation of this work and allows the space to be held sustainably. We believe valuing the one who holds the space is part of healthy, embodied bhakti.
