Sounding the Sacred Body - For Women

A Sanskrit Sound Journey Home to Our Voice, Womb and Embodied Feminine Wisdom

Many of us as women have been told, directly or quietly, that there is something about our bodies that is less than holy.

That our voice is too much.
That our bodies should be controlled or hidden.
That our power is dangerous.
That the deep wisdom of womb, yoni, instinct and feeling cannot be trusted.

We learn to separate ourselves from the very places where our life-force lives.

But the Mahēśvara Sūtras reveal something very different.

They invite us into a vision in which nothing is outside the Divine.

Every sound, every sense, every layer of body, breath, voice, mind and being belongs within the sacred field of manifestation.

We are not separate from holiness.

We are sound, body, light, love and consciousness taking form.

Sounding the Sacred Body is a journey of feminine remembering, reclamation and restoration.

Through the powerful seed sounds of Sanskrit, we will enter the Sanskrit sound-body as a living mandala of consciousness — exploring the vowels, consonants, elements, senses, organs of action and subtle principles of manifestation as doorways into direct embodied experience.

And because this journey is now held specifically for women, we will also explore the profound relationship between voice and womb, expression and feminine life-force — through sounding, mantra, mudrā, meditation and gentle healing practices.

A space to listen again to the wisdom of the body.

To soften what has been silenced.

To reclaim voice, power and innocence.

To remember the sacredness of womb and yoni.

And to experience the Divine not somewhere beyond us, but alive within the very fabric of our bodies.

This is initiation and restoration.

A return to the sacred body.
A return to the voice.
A return to the feminine.
A return to the Divine already alive within us.

We meet fortnightly for two hours in a held, devotional space, with time for teaching, sounding, mantra, meditation, reflection and embodied practice.

You will also receive access to an online learning portal with guided meditations, sound practices and handouts to support your journey between sessions.

No previous Sanskrit experience is needed. This journey is for women who feel called to remember the holiness of their bodies, reclaim the power of their voices and come home to the living presence of the Divine within themselves.

What to Expect

Sounding the Sacred Body For Women is an eight-session journey, meeting fortnightly on Fridays from 7–9pm at Bank House Studio, St Leonards, beginning Friday 4th September.

Session dates are:

  • Friday 4th September 2026

  • Friday 18th September 2026

  • Friday 2nd October 2026

  • Friday 16th October 2026

  • Friday 30th October 2026

  • Friday 13th November 2026

  • Friday 27th November 2026

  • Friday 11th December 2026

Each session will be held as a devotional learning space, weaving together Sanskrit sound, embodiment, feminine wisdom, reflection and practice.

Together, we will journey gently through the seed sounds of Sanskrit — the mātṛkā, the varṇamālā, and above all the profound living field of the Mahēśvara Sūtras — experiencing these sounds not simply as something to learn, but as something to feel, embody and remember.

Sessions may include gentle movement, teaching, sounding practice, mantra, meditation and space to experience the sounds directly within the body. Some sessions may also include simple creative practices to help integrate the learning in an embodied and personal way.

As a women-only space, we will also explore the intimate relationship between voice, womb and feminine life-force. Through mudrā, meditation, sounding and embodied practices, we will listen more deeply to the wisdom of our bodies and honour the different seasons of female life — including our cycles, menopause and the changing landscapes of the feminine body.

There will be space at the end of each gathering for reflection and sharing, allowing connection, trust and community to grow naturally within the group.

This is not a dry or academic Sanskrit course. It is a devotional and embodied space for women who feel ready to travel deeply — to encounter Sanskrit sound as a living pathway of remembrance, reclamation and restoration, and to come home more fully to body, voice and the sacred feminine within.

You will also receive access to an online learning portal, with guided recorded meditations and audio sound practices to support your journey between sessions.

Comprehensive handouts will be provided for all the material covered, so you can continue learning, sounding and integrating the practices at home.

The exchange for the full eight-session journey is offered on a sliding scale of £240–£360.
